Dottie and Marvin Chanin generously held an afternoon salon at their lovely home on September 20 to introduce the Los Angeles Youth Orchestra to a number of new people. Guests were welcomed to the house by Mohini and Vivek, who performed classical Indian songs accompanied by tabla. Nathan, Martin and Milton, Anna and Jonathan performed for the guests in the Chanin's lush garden while they were served a delicious array of hors d'oeuvres and drinks. Luke and Kyra also played in featured performances. LAYO is working hard to introduce itself to the community, to attract Board members and to expand its audience. Thanks to all who participated!
