musicfest2007 - our gala fundraiser
 On April 29, 2007 we had our first-ever fund-raiser. Organized by our amazing orchestra mother Cathy Turkell and held at Temple Beth Am, it included performances by

  • Brass Pacifica
  • the Los Angeles Center for Enriched Studies Jazz Ensemble
  • Trinity Baptist Inspirational Sisters and Selah: LA
  • Mariachi Juvenil
  • and the Los Angeles Youth Orchestra Chamber Players, conducted by Greg Maldonado and organized by LAYO Parent Board president Linda Polus
There were very successful live and silent auctions, and fun was had by all. We thank the many parent volunteers, especially Shirin Raban for her graphic design and Janice Holland for her help with the auctions.
